Murdoch
By: William Shawcross

Shawcross is an excellent writer who has woven a spellbinding tale of the evolution of the Murdoch communications empire. The work begins with the father, Keith, who turned around the Herald with his version of "sensationalism" journalism and his influence on other newspapers. The author focuses on Rupert and his climb to success starting with family stock interests in Brisbane and Adelaide newspapers then moving into television. Shawcross presents a comprehensive and objective account with solid facts and allows the reader to pass their own judgment. This work is a professional and comprehensive report on Rupert Murdoch, the media mogul. It is an unauthorized biography that was first published in Australia and Britain.
