The Domino Effect
How To Grow Sales, Profits, and Market Share Through Supervision
By: Donald J. Vlcek, Jr. with Jeffrey P. Davidson
288 pp. Business One/Irwin 1992
Review by: Lydia Morris Brown

The work holds a treasure trove of successful business practices, and always explains, in detail, how to adapt distribution innovations to other types of businesses. Vlcek suggests a seven-step process, known as the Super Vision, which is based on his philosophy that the drive and power to continually improve are special gifts that all human beings possess. "The best way to oversee the direction of a large group of people is to have a vision for where they should go and convey that vision clearly to every member of the group." There is much to be gained from the guidelines for applying Domino’s Pizza Distribution Corporation methods to other businesses.
